Hockey Program...1953-54 Season (pdf)
Remember RPI winning the Division I NCAA Hockey
Championship in our freshman year. Remember the hockey players
that were a part of that team. Bobby Fox, All American goaltender
in 1953-54 went on to get a PhD in ME and became a professor at
Purdue from which he retired several years. See the rosters and
team prospects of all our hockey rivals in '53. Remember the happenings
at the Field House that in those days included Martin and Lewis,
Nat King Cole, and Spike Jones. Ads from the 50s, "give you
clothes a treat instead of a treatment", '53 Dodge - elegance

a row before becoming respectable. Today, RPI is one of the better
Div 3 football schools. Remember the local advertisements for
