The World of Jonathan Leavitt 1953-57

Much happened during our years at RPI. and Jonathan Leavitt was there to document it all. . Looking back at it all now, brings nostalgia of days gone by.

RPI Hockey Program...1953-54 Season (pdf)

Remember RPI winning the Division I NCAA Hockey Championship in our freshman year. Remember the hockey players that were a part of that team. Bobby Fox, All American goaltender in 1953-54 went on to get a PhD in ME and became a professor at Purdue from which he retired several years. See the rosters and team prospects of all our hockey rivals in '53. Remember the happenings at the Field House that in those days included Martin and Lewis, Nat King Cole, and Spike Jones. Ads from the 50s, "give you clothes a treat instead of a treatment", '53 Dodge - elegance in action. Dig those tail fins.

RPI Football Program...1953(pdf)

RPI lost 53 football games in a row before becoming respectable. Today, RPI is one of the better Div 3 football schools. Remember the local advertisements for Troy businesses.
